- The mindset it takes to WIN!
The mindset it takes to WIN!
I find it amazing how many people have such poor survival instincts.
How the hell did they even make it this far in life?
We used to live in a world where most people alive today would’t be able to reach an age of reason. They’re so “killable”, if you get what I mean.
The reason is that modern society, is constructed in such a way where it provides safety nets to people. Your car has an airbag, you have a house with running water, a job, people no longer need to cultivate killer instincts.
Timidity, comfort and slowness are being embraced at the cost of greatness.
However, business is much less forgiving. It’s much like the jungle: the top predator eats first, the rest, just get by - if they’re lucky.
So if you want to win on the highest levels, you must cultivate your killer instincts and become the top dog.
The steps are:
#1 - All fear must go. The problem with fear, it’s not the fear itself but the paralysis that stems from doubting your ability to bring your plans to fruition.
We all feel fear, it’s a human emotion, however, you MUST train your mind to ignore it when it’s of no practical utility.
#2 - Compulsive action. Nothing gets done on it’s own and no problem solves itself. If you want something, it’s up to you to take the actions necessary to get it.
There must be no thing you’re unwilling to do, at any time in order to be successful. Other than selling your soul, all options are on the table.
Often times you will need to sacrifice an enjoyable activity for a boring thing that must be done. There’s no way around it and also no time to be wasted. What needs to be done, must be done NOW.
#3 - You’re half way there. Your relentless attitude that comes from harnessing fear, combined with your hypomanic activity will carry you straight to the top. But how high?
You certainly won’t get what you want if you don’t know what that is, and of course, you want land high if you don’t aim high.
Have big goals and never stop pursuing them. If people don’t laugh at you when you tell them your dreams, they’re not dreams.
