Getting paid a salary SUCKS!

It was a hot summer day here in Cyprus.

I was sitting in my bedroom as a teenager, obsessing over my empty bank account - almost panicking about it to the point where I could’t sleep.

A day before, I have made a terrible mistake in my business “side hustle” and I lost all my money - I got scammed.

Before you know it, I was dead-broke. A dead beat.

I had no other choice but to get a job and restart.

So I went ahead and applied to KFC, the only place that would hire me.

I stayed there for about a month but I learnt a LOT during that time.

I also learnt something that most people never realise…

For 30 days straight I worked with no days off! 10-12 hour days.

If there was an available spot for work, It was mine!

I was just mad, a straight maniac - a hungry dog, a work horse!

It got so bad that my colleagues were complaining to the boss that there was no available spots for them to work over time because of me!

The toilets were shining, coleslaw salads were being made, spicy wings were being served…

The end of the month comes. I was pumped up to get my check!

The boss walks in, shouts my name and gives me the envelope.

I was so excited.

So I open it aaaand…

$852.46 (eur)

“Is that it?” I thought.

I worked so hard for this?

It was rather disappointing. I was infuriated.

That’s when I realised that, “Being easy to replace doesn’t pay much”

Anyone could do my job at KFC, it doesn’t even take much training.

The skill is too common = low value = only paid me $4/h

It didn’t matter how hard I tried, I would still make the same $4 in an hour.

Getting paid a salary sucks.

That’s why I took the route of sales.

In sales you get paid in commissions.

You get paid based on the results you produce NOT the time you put in.

This means that a hard worker, will always make the most money in sales.

Cream always rises to the top.

Learn how to sell folks - it’s the ONLY way out of a job you hate!
